Blacksmithing 101 is a 3-hour class that runs through the fundamentals of Blacksmithing, tapering, scrolling, using the anvil edges, hole punching, and all the other info you need to get started!

Beginner Blacksmithing

Tools to make tools is the most important part of being a Blacksmith. Be able to turn raw material into the tool that will be used to make the tools and everyday objects we use today. learn all about what it means to be a Blacksmith.

Go home with a handful of punches and a pair of tongs to start making your own tools!

Learn the Basics of knife making, and make an all-in-one Blacksmith knife. learn to swing a hammer, taper, use the edges of your anvil, grind, sharpen, and take care of your knife.

All advanced classes require prier experience

Be the striker as we forge your own tomahawk, the bulk of this class is learning how to use tools to make your tomahawk, then blade profile, edge geometry, steel composition, how to carve and then hang the handle for your very one Tomahawk!

Age requirement: Be able to swing a hammer all-day


The most important job of the Blacksmith is to be able to make and maintain tools. We will learn from the ground up everything from top and bottom fullers, punches, and drifts. Make your own pair of hammer tongs for handling stock and for handling tool blanks. Then end by making your hammer with all the tools you just made!
